Members Present: Tom Andrews, Chris Bias, Jason Blythe, Julie Bradshaw, Brenda Cox, Mark Hess, Ernie Krug, Russ Lawrence, Deb Petro, Mike Shumaker and John Waite.

Golf and Dinner Outing – New Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, Tom Collins, was the featured guest. Sixty-nine alumni and friends attended the outing. Bob Browning will continue as chair and we will to return to Pebble Brook next year on Wednesday, June 13, 2007.

Accountants' CPE Seminar – Kevin Ervin reported there were 24 in attendance at the Seminar. Kevin agreed to chair the outing in 2007.

Indians Picnic and Baseball Outing – John Waite reported that 142 alumni and friends attended. University President JoAnn Gora and her husband, Roy Budd, attended. John recommended we continue the outing in 2007 and look for a Saturday or Sunday game. John and Tom Nowak will co-chair the outing.

Beer and Wine Tasting – Steph Meyers chaired the first-time event at the Downtown Marriott on Thursday, August 10. Many newcomers attended and everyone had the opportunity to sample 30 different beverages. We will continue the event with Steph as chair as part of the 2007 summer outings.

Symphony on the Prairie Outing – Julie Bradshaw reported more than 135 attended the outing. The pre-concert reception went well, but rain caused the second half of the Flash Cadillac performance to be cancelled. Roy Weaver, Dean of Teachers College, and members of the Teachers College Alumni board of directors participated.

Hoosier Park – Jason Blythe reported that attendance was lower this year because the Colts-Giants football game was televised during the Hoosier Park outing. Jason agreed to chair the outing again next year.

Indiana Ice – Tom Andrews has finalized plans for the Saturday, January 20, 2007 Indiana Ice vs. Sioux City Musketeers outing at the Pepsi Coliseum. The pre-event activity will be in the VIP room this year. The pre-game begins at 6:00 p.m. and the game begins at 7:00 p.m.

Casino Night – Russ Lawrence will chair Casino Night at Jillian's on Saturday, February 24, 2007. Registration begins at 5:00 p.m. Gambling is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the prize drawing at 8:15 p.m. Board members are asked to gather prizes for the drawing again this year.

Theatre Outing – Brenda Cox has finalized plans for a theatre outing, scheduled for Friday, March 23, 2007. A reception will be hosted at the Rathskeller beginning at 5:30 p.m. The performance of CATS will begin at the Murat at 8:00 p.m.

Board Positions – Tom Andrews, Jason Blythe, Bob Browning, Brenda Cox, Kevin Ervin, Mark Hess, Dick Isenhour and Josh Mason have agreed to new two-year terms. Julie Griffith has resigned her position.

Board Elections – Brenda Cox was elected president, Russ Lawrence was chosen vice president and Mike Shumaker was selected as Alumni Council representative.

Next Board Meeting – The next meeting will be Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. The location will be announced.
