Accountants' CPE Seminar – Kevin Ervin reported there were 25 in attendance at the Seminar. Next year ends the CPE three-year cycle and we should have a larger crowd. Kevin suggested increasing the price of the Seminar to $75.00.
Indians Picnic and Baseball Outing – Tom Nowak reported attendance of 153 alumni and friends. It was a very nice evening and we had a great turnout. Everything went smoothly and Tom recommended we continue the outing in 2005. Tom and John Waite will chair the outing.
Symphony on the Prairie Outing – Julie Bradshaw has 116 reservations. Mark McClintock will donate the wine for the evening. Julie will bring the food and all other supplies. Dick Isenhour will help with registration. Teachers College Alumni will join area alumni for this event.
Hoosier Park – Outing chair Steph Meyers has 15 reservations for the event. Steph hopes additional reservations will come in before the September 3 deadline.
Indianapolis Ice Outing – Tom Andrews report the Indianapolis Ice professional hockey team was sold to an out-of-town group. A new independent Indianapolis Ice hockey team will play at the Pepsi Coliseum. The board agreed to continue an Ice outing this winter. Tom will host the event.
Casino Night – Steph Meyers has looked at several new locations for the outing. She recommends that we continue the outing at Jillian's. Jillian's does not charge us for the room and provides complimentary food for the event. We will confirm a date at the next meeting.
Indianapolis Civic Theatre Outing – Brenda Cox reported on a possible outing at the Civic Theatre. The show is Smokey Joe's Café and the date is Saturday, January 30, 2005. The outing would include hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar before show. The board agreed to sponsor the outing and asked Brenda to make final arrangements and make a report at our next meeting.
Next Meeting – The next board meeting will be Thursday, October 14, 2004. The location will be announced later.
