MUNCIE, Ind. -- Senior Wayne Denger, who completed his four-year collegiate golf career at Ball State in May, was named the team's Travis J. Smith Most Valuable Performer for the 2006-07 season.
The honor was awarded May 19 at the team's postseason banquet held at the home of BSU Athletics Director Tom Collins at The Player's Club Golf Course in Yorktown, Ind.

Denger was BSU's most conisistent performer all season, finishing as BSU's top golfer in four of six spring events.
He also paced the Cardinals in three events last fall en route to a team-low fall stroke average of 73.50.
