FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The No. 2 seed Ball State University men's tennis team nearly upset No. 1 Western Michigan on Saturday (April 28) in the Mid-American Conference Tournament title match but lost by a score of 4-3.

The Cardinals Joe Epkey and Jose Perdomo were named to the All-MAC Tournament team.

Ball State started the day claiming an early 1-0 lead over the Broncos after earning the doubles point.  Joe Epkey and Jose Perdomo recorded an 8-2 victory over Bryan Norville and Alex Birchmeier at No. 1.  The twosome of Jarrod Epkey and Jorge Rodriguez tallied an 8-3 win over Tim Bradshaw and Kevin Hayward at No. 2.
