  • Team finished 11th at State Finals (5th best in YHS boy's swimming history)
  • Kurt Barttrum, State Champion in Diving (1st YHS diver to ever win at state)
  • In Jay's seven seasons, he is 123-23 in dual meets & has 11 conference championships. Both his boys and girls teams have been rated #1 in the nation for schools with less than 900 students. 

     Gene Johnson, ‘76, Jimtown High School, Girl's Basketball 

  • Class 2A State Final Runner-Up
  • Ranked 13th in the state
  • 25th year coaching
  • 1st regional victory in school history
  • The Jimmies went 0-21 in 2000-2001 and 1-20 in 2001-02 before gradually improving to 6-15, 12-10, 10-11 and 15-7 to this year's 23-2 mark.

  • 2nd place finish at sectionals
  • Gymnast Kristin Gilley qualified for State finals, placed 3rd in vault, and 3rd all-around
