The Ball State men's volleyball team begins a three-week, five-match, road swing Friday when it travels to Quincy, Ill., to face the Quincy Hawks in a 7 p.m. Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association tilt . . . On Saturday, the Cardinals will head to Kenosha, Wis., for a 7 p.m. non-conference showdown with the Carthage Red Men.

Cardinals Split Pair of MIVA Home Matches:
BSU entered last weekend looking to upset a pair of ranked teams on its home court and after Friday's 3-1 (30-27, 30-24, 19-30, 30-16) victory over sixth-ranked IPFW, it looked poised to accomplish the task . . . However, Saturday the Cardinals were unable to overcome some critical errors, dropping a very close 1-3 (34-36, 32-30, 23-30, 29-31) decision to No. 11 Loyola.
