Chadae' McAlister and Michael Warrell are among the performers for "Rhythm and Soul (A Passion for Latin)," presented by Ball State's Department of Theatre and Dance Dec. 7-10 at University Theatre.
Traditional and contemporary Latin styles make for a spicy evening of dance everyone will enjoy, said Lou Ann Young, artistic director.
"The whole program will get you into the joy of the holidays. You will be ready to celebrate," Young said.
This is the first year the Department of Theatre and Dance's fall semester performance has been choreographed based on a theme. It is also one of the hardest technical routines they have ever done, she said.
Choreographers include Kirsten Wray, a senior dance major, faculty members and Sara Semonis, a guest from Illinois State University.
"Rhythm and Soul" performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7-9 and at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at University Theatre.
The University Theatre Box Office is open from 1 to 5 p.m. weekdays and one hour before performances. Tickets are $12 for the public, $11 for Ball State faculty and staff, $9 for senior citizens and $6 for students. Call the box office at (765) 285-8749 for more information.
