Ben Coyle earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999 with a double major in history and religious studies. Since graduating from Ball State, Ben has held several jobs, but enjoyed teaching behavior disorder students and returned to school to complete a master's degree in education. He is currently a special education teacher at Hubbard High School in Chicago, Illinois.
While a student at Ball State, Ben participated in Tae Kwon Do, was a teaching assistant for the Department of History, and was a member of Phi Alpha Theta. Ben's sister, Sarah, is also a graduate of BSU with a 2001 Bachelor of Science degree in English.
Ben tries to get back to the Ball State campus at least once a year, usually to attend a Cardinal football game. When asked about his feeling about BSU, Ben says, "Ball State prepared me with a good work ethic and several viewpoints that helped mold me as an adult."
