Alumni Spotlight - Julie Bradshaw, '80 (3/1/2006)

Julie Bradshaw

Julie Bradshaw earned a bachelor's degree in physical education with a minor in aquatics in 1980 from Ball State University.  While at Ball State, she was a member of the women's swimming team earning a varsity letter all 4 years, a Delta Tau Delta Little Sis, and was involved in intramural sports.

Julie has been a physical education teacher and girls varsity swim coach at Plainfield High School in Indiana for the past 26 years.  Julie and her husband, Bryan, live in Avon with their 3 children:  Alex, age 17; John, age 14; and Blaire, age 12.

When asked about her time as a student at Ball State, Julie says "The 4 years I spent on campus allowed me a wealth of opportunities. I earned a teaching degree which I have put to good use for the past 26 years.  Ball State was, and still is, a great institution to be a part of.  And, 26 years later, they still make you feel like you are at home!"

Julie is very active in the Alumni Association and is currently Past President of the Alumni Council.  She is also involved in the Indianapolis Area Alumni Chapter and assists in the administration of many of their local programs and events.  She encourages all alumni to be involved in the Alumni Association, even if they can't return to campus as often as they would like.  Julie states that "Ball State is just as beautiful today as it was when I was on campus!  I'm proud to be a part of the Cardinal Family.  GO CARDS!"
