Thomas L. Hill, MA61, has retired after 46 years of teaching. He is included in the
2005 edition of Who's Who in American Education.

Judy Richter, '62, San Carlos, CA, has retired as a copy editor for the San Francisco Chronicle after a 33-year newspaper career.

Ollisteen (Davis) Miles, '64, Decatur, GA, is a Georgia state senator.

Alan K. Patrick, '64MA66, Albany, recently exhibited his works of art at Arts Place in Portland. His painting, In the Field, won Best of Show in the 2005 Open Spaces Exhibit at Minnetrista in Muncie.

Joan K. (Acker) Baumann, '66, Lompoc, CA, has retired after teaching elementary education for 33 years.

Sheliah J. (Heavenridge) Dorton, '67MA75, Gaston, recently received an award from Indiana's Association of Teacher Educators for long and valued service.

Sharon R. Butler, '68, Colorado Springs, CO, has been named Academic Transfer Advisor of the Year at Pikes Peak Community College. She is mathematics department chairman.

John D. King, '68, Angola, has retired from Prairie Heights after 36 years as a teacher, coach, and middle school athletic director.

Barbara J. (Leininger) Goddard, '69, Avon, was awarded the 2005 Lt. Governor's Hoosier Hospitality Award for Marion County. She is a tour guide for the Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana.

Pamala V. (Barnes) Morris, '69MAE71, Westfi eld, has been promoted to assistant dean of Purdue agriculture and director of diversity programs in the
Purdue University College of Agriculture.

Carol K. (McElhinney) Boyer, '70MA73, Syracuse, NY, has retired from teaching middle school art for 20 years in the Westhill Central School District. She is the owner of Rainbow Rags, a fi ber art business. Her husband Eric R. Boyer, '69MA70, is chairman of the humanities division and professor of English at Cazenovia College in Cazenovia, NY.

Cynthia A. Klinck, '70, Dayton, OH, director of the Washington-Centerville  public Library, has been named one of Dayton's Top Ten Women of 2005 by the Dayton Daily News.

Bueford C. Cooper, MA71, Ridgeway, MO, has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations.

Larry W. Metzing, '71, Zionsville, is a senior partner for Sunbelt Indiana Business
Resource.

Michael S. Williams, '71, Carmel, has been promoted to vice president of Herff
Jones, Incorporated.

John D. Bower, MAE72, Bloomington, has authored 2nd Stories: A Hoosier
photographer explores what's upstairs, on top, and overhead.

Cynthia A. (Stevens) Dwyer, '72, Sebring, FL, retired after 32 years of service as a middle school principal. She is the author of Can You See Me
Now
?, her first children's book.

Norma S. Tomkinson, '72, Hong Kong, is regional vice president of revenue strategy with Marriott International.

William F. Bartolini, '73, Brookline, MA, received his doctorate in communication
from Kent State in May 2005. He is vice president for development at Northeastern
University in Boston, MA.

Bradley D. Byrd, '74, Evansville, has been inducted into the National Academy of
Television Arts and Sciences Silver Circle Hall of Fame. He is the lead news anchor for NEWS 25.

Sheryl L. (Engerski) Sculley, '74, Phoenix, AZ, has been named city manager of San Antonio, TX.

Steven O. Shields, '74MA78, Duluth, GA, won the 2005 Helen Schaible Sonnet
Competition, sponsored by Poets Club of Chicago. A poem in his book, Daimonion Sonata, has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize.

Bob Browning, '75, Greenwood, has earned the designation of Accredited
Wealth Managemnt Advisor from the College of Financial Planning.

Alan B. Carnahan, '75, Indianapolis, has been promoted to corporal in
the Marion County Sheriff's Department.

Thomas R. Edington, '75MAE78, Ellettsville, is superintendent of the
Richland-Bean Blossom School Corporation. He also is a former Ball State Alumni Ambassador.

Tina G. (Gruenloh) Noonan, '75, Fishers, has been promoted to director of clinical research administration for the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Victoria L. (Newsom) Ehret, '76MA81, Largo, FL, is the associate pastor at St.
Petersburg First Church of the Brethren. She teaches middle school language arts at
St. Petersburg Christian School.

Scott Poland, MA76EdD81, Hollywood, FL, is the School of Psychology administrator for NOVA at Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Michael E. Earley, '78, Carmel, is chairman and CEO of Omnicity, Incorporated
in Indianapolis, a wireless broadband provider. Michael won an endorsement from a
state association of rural electric cooperatives. He is a member of the Ball State Miller College of Business Alumni Society board of directors.

Alan M. Lahn, MA78, is the owner of Weiner and Lahn, an accounting practice. He and his wife Rosalie (Silverman) Lahn, '78, reside in Munster.

Cary S. Hungate, '80, Kokomo, is head golf professional at the Kokomo Country Club. He was inducted into the Howard County Sports Hall of Fame in 2005.

Verle A. Ormsby, Jr., MM81DA88, Amery, WI, is the senior lecturer of horn studies and a member of the Wisconsin Wind Quintet at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Timothy A. Brown, '83, Cedar Lake, is included in the 2006 Who's Who in America for his professional and volunteer accomplishments. He is the town planner for Merrillville.

William R. Gamble, '83, Oak Park, IL, has been named a principal at Wright Architects.
