SENIOR CONGRATS PARTY! FRIDAY, MAY 2, 2008 FROM 4-7 P.M.

T-Shirt discussion: the group decided on the vintage red for the color of the senior t-shirts – we will order 500 of them. We would like to keep the design simple…Anna suggested the words Ball State running down the side-front of the shirt, and Brian suggested we add a Cardinal head to the top-back of the shirt with "alumni" under it.   We will bring these ideas to Outfitter and Kate will e-mail the design options to the committee for a final vote.  The group decided to get dark gray t-shirts for St.A.R.T. members.  The group also turned in their t-shirt sizes – if you were not at the meeting, please give Kate your t-shirt size ASAP.

Publicity: Yung agreed to create a facebook event for the party – Kate has pictures from last year to use and this can be done during office hours.   We will also have plenty of copying/stuffing/labeling to do during upcoming office hours. Brian will contact Pepsi to see if they will donate a sign for us to use for the fly-swatter. Paul got clearance from Ed to use Liberty Mutual again for a sponsor for the koozies.  Kate will order the koozies this week (same as last year).  Table tent designs will need to be sent as well as Days Ahead notices. Kate ordered the postcards and beverage tickets for the party.

Decorations/Entertainment: Kate and Laura plan to order decorations this week.   We decided against the beads due to cost. We will put boxes of Hot Tamales candy on the tables this year. Allison contacted TIS and got permission for us to decorate their window.  She said we just need to call about a week before we want to decorate.  We also need to ask all the bookstores if we can provide them with flyers to hand out with caps and gowns. If anyone has corn hole sets we can set out at the party, please let Kate know (Paul and Ryan both have sets we can use). This committee needs to create a checklist for the games and let Kate know what materials we still need to get. Sally will look into the cost of the inflatable Sumo Wrestling outfits.

Sponsors/Set-Up: Emily C. reminded the group that sponsors are due by April 2!   The items you get donated will be used as prizes for the games and give-aways. We are looking for gift certificates and merchandise. If you need to be reminded who your sponsor is, let Kate know and she will send you the list. Someone from this committee needs to contact Athletics to request Charlie Cardinal for the event. This group will also need to produce sponsor thank-you notes and create a poster to display the names of all the sponsors at the party. Kate will be sending around a sign-up sheet at the next meeting for ticket distribution.  We start handing out tickets for the event on April 14 and will need your help to sit in the office and help with that (counts toward your office hours).

Food/Drink: Kate confirmed Dill Street as our beverage caterer for the event. University Banquet and Catering can provide a nacho bar for $1.25 per person which will include: chips, salsa, shredded cheese, nacho cheese, avocado, and black olives. The group decided to go ahead and do this.   Kate faxed Papa John's a contract, but has not yet heard back from them, so we will need to follow up. Carter is booked.  We need to order the mini cupcakes – where?  Kate also confirmed the use of the popcorn machine at the Alumni Center.

SPRING SURVIVAL KITS

Deadline for orders is Thursday, April 17. Paul volunteered to bring the flyers to the Student Life office so they can put them in the mailboxes. We have 14 orders so far.   Spread the word! That is our best advertisement!  We will need to decide on a shopping date in April.
