GROUP PHOTO AT THE ALUMNI CENTER

Photo Services came to take our individual and group photos in the Alumni Center Library.  Kate will post the new photo on the web and order group shots once the proofs arrive.

SURVIVAL KITS!

The schedule this semester will be: orders due on Thursday, November 29; assemble kits at the December 5 meeting; deliver all kits December 5-7 with any left-overs delivered December 10-12. (Please note that Kate and Ed will be at a conference in Chicago through Tuesday the 11^th, so we need to get as much done ASAP!).  We will plan on shopping shortly after the kit order due date.  We are planning on shopping locally this year, instead of going to Sam's Club to see if there is a big difference in time and money spent.

THANKS to everyone who helped with the mailing.   We need a volunteer to bring flyers to the Student Life office.

Advertising for the kits this year included: placing an ad in the Alumnus Magazine, including information in a few issues of the monthly alumni e-newsletter, a mass e-mail to students, All-BSU faculty & staff, and all alumni.  We have previously only e-mailed parents of current students, but figured we should widen our base in case alumni would like to send to nieces & nephews, friends, brothers/sisters, etc.

Paul has agreed to create a Facebook flyer , and Lindsey will submit a DN Days Ahead announcement for due date reminders.

We discussed some possibilities on what to include in the buckets this semester (we had some great ideas at the last meeting!)  The group decided against bucket uses and a stress manual this year and we will just stick with food and supplies.

There will be no office hours next week due to Thanksgiving break – enjoy!

• Ball State vs. Toledo Pre-Game Rally: November 13 (Mary Ann, Joel, Erica, Brooke, Ali, Arica).  Thanks for volunteering!  There was not as big of a crowd, but everyone had fun and did a great job for the BSUAA!

ANNOUNCEMENTS/OTHER BUSINESS

The group decided we would like to sponsor a family for Christmas through the Salvation Army.  Emily C. will be our liaison and will contact the Salvation Army for more details.

Yung announced that the Student Foundation is selling Ball State Christmas Ornaments again this year.  If anyone is interested, please contact Yung.
