Meeting time for this semester
We have decided to make the new meeting time 7:45 a.m. for this semester. Extra sleeping time!!!

Please remember to sign up! We are always in need of help! We will be especially busy this semester with recruitment, Survival Kits, and Senior Congrats!

Survival Kits
Fall Wrap-Up – We received positive feedback from the two returned surveys. We sold 112 kits and made over a $1,200 profit for StART – way to go!

New Ideas for Spring
Many ideas were given including healthier snacks. We will provide an option on the order form for a healthy vs. junk food kit. If you have any other ideas, please share.

Timeline for Spring
We will assemble the spring survival kits on or around April 20, with deliveries being early finals week.

Spring Recruitment
Who is leaving/who is staying - we will have 11 leaving after this semester (plus one more in December)!! So we will need more members to fill the spots.

Publicity – all student e-mail, post on web site, WORD OF MOUTH is the best!, etc.

Timeline – the group decided it would be better to move up recruitment dates a bit this year, so our new members would be in place longer before the Senior Congrats Party. We will have a rather large group for a few weeks, until our seniors graduate.

Applications are due on Friday, February 10, and interviews will be held Monday and Tuesday, February 13-14.  The current members will select the new members at our regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, February 15, and the new members will join us for the following meeting on Wednesday, March 1.

Senior Congrats Party! Friday, May 5, 2006!
General brainstorming/discussion - We have decided to stick with the Luau theme!

Form sub-committees (Publicity, Food, Sponsors, Entertainment, Decorations/Favors, etc.) – we will decide these committees at an upcoming meeting – please start to consider what you would be interested in doing.

Announcements/Other Business

• Homecoming Steering Committee – applications are being accepted through January 27. See Kate for an application or print one off the web site at www.bsu.edu/alumni/homecoming
• Linson Scholarship - this scholarship is given to students who are actively involved with the Alumni Association – it is a $1,500 scholarship and they are due the week before commencement. Applications are in the StART office by the bulletin board. Ebonee won this scholarship last year!
• Orientation Leader Recruitment – the orientation office is looking for new orientation leaders – Kate has paperwork if you are interested.
• Ball State Telethon hiring – see job #1700 on view jobs if you are interested in being a student caller for the University Development office. The job pays $6 an hour.
• Other/ General for group - Unity Week is this week – Come and support events!
