New residence hall approved;
two named for honorary degrees
The Board of Trustees today approved a plan to build a new hall that will house approximately 500 students and be located immediately north of the DeHority complex. Construction is expected to begin in May and be completed by June 2007. Full Story

Trustees approve change in plan covering medications
The Board of Trustees Friday approved changes to the university health care plan regarding coverage of maintenance medications. Maintenance medications are defined as those taken daily and having consecutive refills expected to continue for at least 90 days. Full Story

Program to help students
earn bachelor's in three years
Ball State has identified 30 bachelor's degrees that can be earned in three years and has designated professional advisers to help guide students through the accelerated program. Full Story

Saxophone quartet contributes to compact disc series
The Mosaic Saxophone Quartet, a student music performance group from Ball State, is featured on a new compact disk by Arizona University Recordings: "America's Millennium Tribute to Adolphe Sax, Volume VIII." Full Story

 

 

University photographer's work wins in monthly competition

John Huffer's image of Cardinal soccer player Betsy Wilcek in action earned the coordinator of Ball State's Photographic Services first place sports honors in the University Photographers Association of America new monthly contest. Images were submitted in November and voted on by association members. Huffer won both first and second places in the October sports category. He also won third place in sports in the September competition.
