Students appear in Discovery Channel documentary
on MLK
Ball State students appeared in a
Discovery Times Channel documentary that which aired Oct. 21. The
documentary, "MLK Boulevard: The Concrete Dream," featured the
involvement of 14 students in Muncie's Martin Luther King Blvd.
controversy and their interaction with the city's African American
community.

Ball State is bringing a group of business professionals to campus
to discuss how individuals can embrace change. “A Culture of
Change,” a lecture series sponsored by the College of Business, is
designed to help business executives, faculty and students understand
how the world is changing personally, economically, politically and
technologically.

Pumpkins will fall from the
sky once again on Oct. 29
The forecast for Oct. 29 calls for isolated showers of plummeting
pumpkins. The precipitation of orange orbs is a rare phenomenon better
known as Ball State’s second annual Pumpkin Drop, which will take place
from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on LaFollette Field next to Worthen Arena.

“Digital Image and Sound Collaborative Urban
Showcase (DISCUS)” is a free evening of collaborative electronic
entertainment, a relatively new art form, performed by 20 students and

A scholarship to provide financial assistance to teaching majors at Ball
State has been created by a Florida couple. The Dunworth Scholarship was
established by John and Lavona Walden Dunworth, former Ball State
faculty members now residing in Pensacola, Fla.

Executive named to College
of Business Hall of Fame
Ball State has recognized the head of an Indianapolis company by
inducting him into the College of Business Hall of Fame. John C. Gaylor,
president and founder of Gaylor Group Inc., is a native of Muncie and
received a bachelor’s degree in business from Ball State in 1976.
