Tenure, faculty promotions for 2004-05 approved by trustees
Twenty faculty members were promoted from assistant professor to
associate professor, 19 were promoted from associate professor to
professor and 16 were granted tenure.

Spanish professor honored by state education

Chin-Sook Pak, a Ball State Spanish professor, was recently honored for
her work in service-learning teaching. Indiana Campus Compact presented
Pak with the 2004 Brian Douglas Hiltunen Faculty Award for Outstanding
Contribution to the Scholarship of Engagement April 23 in Indianapolis.

Carillon concert to begin after commencement
ceremony

carillon concert
will take place May 8 and will begin at the dismissal of the main
commencement ceremony, at approximately 11:15 a.m. Programs, with
information about the music and the instrument, will be available near
the base of Shafer Tower.
