Center for Creative Inquiry announces fellows for 2004-05
The Virginia
Ball Center for Creative Inquiry has selected four faculty fellows for
2004-05 to teach interdisciplinary, collaborative, project-driven and
community-based seminars.

University staff employees will be honored for
retirement and for length of service in five-year increments starting at
10 years. The ceremonies also include presentation of the A. Jane Morton
Award and five meritorious service awards.

in 'Culture of Change' series
A sustainability
expert will discuss his views on how companies must change to survive
during a presentation March 24. Carl Frankel will present “Adapt or
Die,” at
4 p.m. in the Whitinger Business Building, room 144. His
presentation is free and open to the public.

Seven employees nominated
for A. Jane Morton staff award
Seven Ball State staff members received praise for their outstanding
contributions from members of the campus community who nominated them
for the A. Jane Morton Award.
Ball State's highest honor for outstanding staff service will be
presented at the Staff Personnel Recognition and Awards Dinner April 15.
The award is a memorial to the late A. Jane Morton, a staff employee in
the Office of Academic Research and Sponsored Programs, who exemplified
the qualities recognized by the award.

New identification cards coming in April will have
new numbers
Ball State employees will be given new identities starting in April.
Their names won’t change but their numbers will. All employees will be
issued new identification cards in late April that will carry a unique
Ball State number.

Student radio station acquires FM license from
Muncie schools
Ball State has
acquired an FM radio broadcast license from the Federal Communications
Commission (FCC) as part of a project to upgrade WCRD-FM, the
student-managed radio station.

University seeking nominations for outstanding Indiana women
The College of Sciences and Humanities is accepting nominations of women
native to Indiana, either by birth or adoption, for the 2004 Perham
Awards. The recipients will be honored Oct. 27 during the fifth annual
Celebration for Indiana Women of Achievement at the Alumni Center.
