What research misses: We use more media than we say we do
Researchers from Ball State's Center for Media Design found that media
use by adults is more than double the extent reported by standard survey
research methods. Called the Middletown Media Studies, the research
asked questions and used methods that are more extensive than those
found in traditional media-measurement methods.

eight awards Feb. 21 in annual competition sponsored by
the Advertising Federation of East Central Indiana. The local Addy
Awards recognize outstanding advertising efforts in various media.

Student input helping to direct planning for new residence hall
Pending approval by the Board of Trustees, the new hall would be built
on the site immediately north of the DeHority Halls complex, and
university officials have met with many student groups gathering ideas
regarding the amenities and services.

honor her late father, composer Henry Mancini, in the multimedia
tribute, "Mancini at the Movies," at 7:30 p.m. March 3 in Emens

Memorial services for Merle Fifield are at
6 p.m. Feb. 27 at Meeks Mortuary Chapel. Fifield, who taught
medieval literature in the English department for 34 years, died last
