Globe-trotting students explore architecture and planning
Twenty-one Ball State students are traveling the globe, seeing firsthand some of the world’s greatest architecture, landscape architecture and urban planning projects. The biennial POLYARK tour was launched nearly 30 years ago. Full Story

Students to spend spring break
on medical mission to Ecuador

While many college students will be enjoying fun and sun on
spring break, seven Ball State students plan to deliver desperately needed medical supplies to an impoverished area of Ecuador. The students are spending $1,100 each to volunteer for the trip. Full Story

To start the process, applicants must file a statement of intent, an abbreviated business plan addressing the educational program, management, finances and facilities, that will be reviewed by the university. Full Story

Atrium Gallery alumni ceramics display part of statewide show
An exhibition of ceramics created by
31 Ball State alumni
will be on display in
the Art and Journalism Building’s Atrium Gallery beginning March 3. 
This exhibition will be held in conjunction with other ceramics exhibits throughout the state.

Celebrate Fat Tuesday with food, festivities at The Atrium
Faculty, staff and students are invited to celebrate Mardi Gras at The Atrium in the Art and Journalism Building from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 on Fat Tuesday. Traditional Mardi Gras foods will be prepared and served by Ball State chefs. The menu features cajun seafood gumbo, chicken and ham jambalaya, catfish po-boy sandwich, southern style slaw, sweet potato pie, king cake and other favorites. Full Story

Country music's hottest duo Montgomery Gentry coming
Montgomery Gentry, one of country music’s hottest duos, hit the stage with opening acts Marty Stuart and Flynnville Train at 8 p.m. Feb. 27 at Emens Auditorium. Evoking the sound of Southern rockers like the Marshall Tucker Band and Lynard Skynard, Montgomery Gentry are often perceived as rowdy rebels who still hold small-town values. Full Story

'Our Town' a simple but real depiction of American life
The trials and tribulations of small-town life come to the stage in the American theater classic, “Our Town,” which will be performed at 8 p.m. Feb. 18-21 and at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at University Theatre.
