Experiment #1: How does the thrust of a propeller depend of the speed of rotation of the propeller?

Materials: Small model airplane propeller (not more than 6 inches long, available at most hobby shops), small electric motor (3 -6 volts), 2 - 4 1.5 volt dry cells (flashlight batteries), dry cell holders, hook-up wires, rheostat for varying the speed to the motor (you can also vary the number of dry cells attached if a rheostat is not available), laboratory cart, spring scale (very sensitive to measure small forces) and string.
